A Miracle Mind is a mind that creates consciously. It directs the course of thought in order to achieve specific outcomes. If we do not take responsibility for our thoughts, we forfeit a Miracle Mind, but we do not forfeit the ability to create. Creating is something we do automatically whether we are conscious of it or not. We cannot help but be creators because we are extensions of the Creator. It is just the way we roll. In fact, even when we sleep we are creating. Our subconscious thoughts construct the world we know as our dreams. But despite the fact that we are constantly creating, few people recognize themselves as creators. As a matter of fact, most people will argue that they are not very creative at all.
The fuel for our creations comes from our intentions, or our wants. Nothing is ever created without them. If we pay close attention to our thoughts, we will notice that we are always intent on something, more often than not, a whole lot of somethings. We want prosperity. We want good health. We want fulfillment. We want a satisfying relationship. And we want to eat our favorite foods without gaining weight. And that is our short list! In theory, making miracles should be child’s play for us considering our innate ability for creating and our endless desire to do so. But that does not seem to be the case. If we look at the state of the world, it would appear that we are more adept at making misery than making miracles. So what gives?
Since most people are not aware that their thoughts are creating, they pay little attention to what they are thinking. Their thoughts run wild, like a pack of stray dogs. Most of what drives their thoughts is a sense of insecurity that the ego instills. Thoughts that are critical, angry, competitive, guilty, and greedy are all fear-driven and will result in negative creations. People could actually foretell their future based on what they are thinking today. The reason most of us do not correlate our thoughts to our present situation is because we do not recognize our own hand in it, especially when the situation is bad. Bad situations seem to originate outside of ourselves, a consequence of someone else or something else. But no matter who or what lands on our path, we created the conditions for them to be there.
If you ever want to get an idea of where your own life is heading, simply monitor your thoughts. If you cannot maintain fifteen minutes of thought without some form of negativity creeping in, then chances are it will creep into your future much the same. Your future will be littered with negative circumstances, or what is commonly referred to as “bad luck.”
When we are burdened with negative thoughts, even our best intentions get corrupted in the mix. This happens because our thoughts are pure energy that combine like ingredients in a recipe. Some originate in fear and some in love. When they mix, they produce a sort of energy soup that pervades all of our creations. The dominant energy will be the flavor of what we create.
Perhaps a simpler way to think of this energy is in regards to our attitude. Our attitude corresponds to our energy. If we have a negative attitude, our creations and situations will follow suit. Sometimes it may be hard to determine if a negative attitude created a bad situation, or a bad situation created a negative attitude. But in reality, nothing is random. What we are experiencing, we created at some point. Everything that transpires in our lives is karmic.
Whatever the quality of our energy, we need not get distressed over it. We can overwhelm our dark energy with an abundance of light just as well as the other way around. The process for achieving a Miracle Mind, therefore, is to infuse our minds with positive and enlightened thoughts. This requires a concentrated effort on our part if we are to overthrow the habit of negative thinking.
Intentions
Intentions are the blueprints for our creations. They create our reality. The reality we are experiencing in this very moment is simply a consequence of our previous intentions. When we become aware that all of our intentions are creating, then we gain the power to direct our own reality. We begin to create consciously. We also experience a shift in our perceptions: we no longer view situations as something from which we cannot escape, but as a point from which we create. Anything could happen going forward. It is all up to us!
When we release an intention, we are actually releasing energy. The energy itself is the creation; it just has not made it into physical form yet. It will eventually crystallize and be perceptible at the level of the senses. For example, if I release the intention to create a successful business, its creation begins the minute I have the thought. It is headed toward me just like an item I might order online. I can count on the Universe to deliver it as long as I stay focused on it and do not do anything to sabotage it.
Our imaginations are the source for our intentions. They serve as the catalog for all of our creations. We only have to flip through the catalog of our own imaginations to choose what we want. If we find it in the catalog, then it is within our power to create. To quote William Author Ward, “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.” This claim may seem a bit exaggerated, after all, some of us have pretty vivid imaginations, but consider this: at some point, we were souls without physical forms. We were simply unmanifested energy. To be enjoying the bodies we currently occupy, we had to will ourselves into form. We literally manifested our own physical being with just an intention. (And here we were giving our parents all the credit.) This is the power of our intentions: they shape light into form. If we are capable of bringing our own being into existence, imagine what else we are capable of creating!
