We all carry around baggage that our ego has created in the form of negativity. Over time, the baggage builds up and gets stored in the closets of our psyche. Sometimes our baggage starts to overflow into other parts of our house (i.e. our relationships, our health, our attitude). That is not such a bad thing since it forces us to deal with the mess. In fact, by just making the decision to connect with your higher-self, you throw open the door to the closet where all your baggage has been accumulating.
Once the door has been opened, your baggage spills out. You may notice you are having more negative thoughts than usual or even experiencing aches and pains in your body that weren’t there before. Don’t panic and try to shove your baggage back into the closet. You couldn’t if you tried. Once the door has been opened, it is next to impossible to shut it again. The best course of action is simply to roll up your sleeves and start cleaning house. Embrace the cleaning and kick your baggage to the curb.
What does the cleaning entail? It entails getting serious about choosing for love over everything else. It entails recognizing all of your negative thoughts as delusions created by your ego. And it entails staying focused on the prize of freedom that comes from the awareness of a deeper dimension inside of yourself.
Eventually, you will get your house back in order, and it will be much easier to maintain. And you will grasp what it truly means to live a life that is unencumbered by emotional baggage.
